Hej Emma!

Hi Helena,

it is me again.

I have tried another spraycan oily stuff. It is used in the car maintenance world to loosen bolts which have corroded stuck.
It is sold in spraycans and it is a light oily kind of stuff, called creeping oil. It takes some time (few days in your machine's case most likely) to do it's work and should be applied libraly.

Hopefully it will smooth out the barrings of the machine.

Best Regards, Sander Tel.

Hi Helena,

I see you have the same passion for sewing and Husqvarna sewing machines. I own two class 12's, both of them in perfect working order.
I use the one mounted on a table very often the other one is inside a case and mounted on a wooden base (which used to house a Class 49E Combina)

Regarding the class 12 being stiff on the legs: as somebody suggested to use WD40 would sound like a good plan but I would advise agains it.
Better use as you said lots of oil combined with prolonged use of the machine.
In regard to this I suggest you mount a electric motor to the side of the class 12 as I did. No more stiff legs if you would do that.

And another thing:
Have you ever heard of a pattern drafting system called Lutterloh ?
It works with a tapemeasure extension strip and miniture patterns which you scale up acording to your precise measurements (bust or hipp)
They even have made in past years a special doll clothes making ruler which enables the use of Lutterloh patterns on doll sizes. Very nice...
Imagine you and some of your dolls wearing the same outfit...Wonderfull.

I myself have a large collection of Lutterloh patterns from 1936 up untill 2007 and it is still growing. I would love to share some of the pattern books with you and hope you will get as enthousiastic about the system as I am.

I am a hobby tailor, making garments from kilts to (trying) weddingdresses. I have to admit I have a rather well equiped workplace in my house. Several vintage sewingmachines in full working order, a lockmachine, an industrial sewing machine and two knitting machines (Empisal - which I don't know how to use yet !) and very soon I will pick up a 1922 Singer leather sewing machine (the kind shoemakers use)

BTW: from which country are you from ??

Best regards, Sander Tel of the Netherlands.
